Sedaia's eyes widened in theatrical innocence, "Why, I have no idea what so ever Master Black!" She smiled, "Why would a man of your fame be interested in little old me... Besides, I would not presume to know you." Sedaia suddenly looked fierce, "Your company is worth a good amount. It has been good to meet you, and to hear your music in this your place of business." Though she said nothing of the sort, tone and inflection made it clear: You are a wanted man. Don't cross me. I can find you. Sedaia looked as though she was about to say more, but her words were interrupted.......
Let it be known that all of the creatures that roam Faethaven are in general, humanoid. On rare occasions, one will encounter truly hideous, malformed half breeds, and the quadruped nature of the centaurs certainly goes against the norm, but all citizens were born and descended from human life. Sometimes, monsters would wander into Faethaven’s territories. The larger ones were generally stopped at the borders. When a smaller beast got through, it often cause havoc amongst the farms and the outlands until it was caught.
No monsters had ever entered Faethaven city itself.
Screaming suddenly interrupted the peaceful routine of midday around the factories. Many people were crying out, making their distress known to everyone in the area- including every occupant of the Bloody Rose. The sound was nearby. A glance out the window revealed people running down the street in terror. The entire crowd going about their business became a panicked mob, fleeing whatever it was that had caught their eyes down the street. Suddenly there was a great roar that made the building itself seem to shiver.
Ten feet tall at the shoulder and thirty feet long from head to tip of tail, was a lizard like creature that could only weigh many tons. Its skin was scaled and mottled brown and green. Its belly and joins looked like snakeskin, but its chest and face were smooth and shone like armour. The creature had a long serpent like neck and tail, and its body was similar to a lizard's but its four legs were bulky like a dog's. The feet on this beast seemed more like giant, angular paws. Deadly, gleaming claws curved like scimitars from each crooked toe. Two gigantic bat-like, leathery wings extended from its huge muscular shoulders. Its head was a fearsome thing, somewhat flat and crocodilian, but with a snout shorter and thicker, and longer teeth. Those teeth hung from the monstrosity's mouth, as though there wasn't enough lip to cover the fangs. Shining, pointed ram-horns curved out of the base of the creature's scull and hung deadly and poised below its jaw. Its eyes were all one color. There was no white and no iris, only black.
The beast held the corpse of a young man in his jaws. The teeth pierce right through the poor young mans body, jutting out of his chest. His blood mingled with the monster’s drool and splattered on the cobblestones below. The young man wore the uniform of a guard, and he had died while others fled. His spear lay broken in twain beneath one of the monster’s death-stained claws. The creature shook the body as a dog shakes a rag. Bone crunched and limbs twisted, until the creature flung the corpse. It landed with a grotesque thud on the heels of the fleeing populace. The creature roared again, and all who heard trembled at the terrible sound.
The beast was not far from the Bloody rose. It could be seen down the street in all of its horrific glory. The young soldier was not its only victim. Others also lay dead, killed by its weight and its claws. The roof of a nearby factory was damaged. It had flown in. The beast’s nostrils flared drinking in the aroma of smoke that billowed from many of the factories to reach its nose. It hissed as it cast its eyes back and forth seeking something.

Rising from his chair Kaar Steps out from the table in the dimly lit tavern and smiles at everyone present. "Enjoy your drinks folks, i think I'm going to leave though." Turning right Kaar walks into a shadow and disappears into a shadow on the floor. On the tavern roof Kaar reappears watching the horrific beast. "This is guards work, but i do like this tavern... I guess i could try and help." Jumping across the rooftops Kaar makes his way toward the beast Drawing his Katana's.

Sen heard the racket and, before waiting for the girl to answer him, he bolted out the door, looking around wildly. He finally spotted the large lizard-type monster.
"Crap. Thisss... could be a problem..."
He wanted to speak with it, but felt that it would be a lost cause. There was so much blood... destruction... He had never seen anything quite like it. He was shocked, not being able to move. He was rooted to the spot.
His mouth was dry, and some voice in his head was screaming for him to run. He couldn't, but at the same time, he couldn't move forward. Couldn't help. Couldn't save people, as he was saved by the border guards when he had first fallen into this place. He was useless, and it made him mad.
Mad. At his weakness.
His tail twitched sporadically, slamming the ground either side of him.
"Sss...."

|Dark-Eyes|
Dark-Eyes’ next movements were so quick that many would have missed them at all if they had not been watching closely. He left the company of the darkly clad woman whom he assumed was, contrary to what se was saying, someone with much power in the underworld of Faethaven’s crime and moved towards his belongings. 'I'll have to deal with this one later...'[/b] he thought to himself. He snatched up his jacket and holsters, guns still within, and with a quick swinging motion he slid into both in one movement all the while spinning to face the entrance of the bar. As he began forwards he shot an arm back and grabbed his hat from its resting location and put it on as he ran. Normally he wouldn’t have given himself away so easily, by putting on his usual ”hunting” outfit, but the sounds outside did not sound like something to be ignored for long. He quickly ran out the door, throwing the swinging doors open leaving them swinging in his absence. None but those specifically watching him noticed his split second change, however minute it was, but there were at few squeaks of fear and wide eyes at the sight of the infamous Dark-Eyes rushing out of the bar. Upon rushing out into the street Dark-Eyes was caught completely off guard by the rather large creature standing down the street from him. “Well I’ll be a son of a bitch…” he swore as he recovered from the momentary shock. Quickly assessing the obvious threat he wasted no time in running towards a food stand that stood in front of a rather low standing building. He leapt atop the stand, stepping on a large amount of the man’s produce arrayed there, and then sprung upwards grabbing the ledge of the roof then pulled himself to the roof top. All the while the owner of the stand was cursing at him vigorously. Dark-Eyes quickly climbed to the higher building next to the one he was on and ran across the relatively similarly sized buildings towards the reptilian creature killing innocent people just down the street from him.

The monsters eyes rolled in it's skull free of one another. It let out a gargling hiss and it focused upon the large lizard-man frozen before it. The corners of its mouth seemed to curve upwards, showing even more teeth. It thundered slowly accross the cobblestones to where Sen stoon, it's head swaying back and forth and its jaws parted in anticipation.
Sedaia saw the transformation of Black and paled, but said nothing. She crept to the window and peered out, seeing the monster and the impending action, she thought it might be best to remain hidden. However, Sedaia wasn't one to run away from a good show, so she crouched by the window to see what would happen. As she saw the ting approaching the friendly lizard-man she had met in the bar, she felt a moment of pity. For whatever reason, he was not running, and the thing was going to walk up nose-to-nose with him.

Arriving on the closest possible building to the beast Kaar leaps from the structure swords aimed for the beast. Landing hard on its back he slashes with his blades at the creatures back, unfortunately the scales are very tough and his blades barely scratch it.

Sen, faced with the largest lizard-beast he had ever seen, was holding together quite well. That involved freezing.
Now the beast was before him, ready to take a bite out of him, and looked even more unfriendly up close. This caused Sen to react. He was as surprised as anyone with his reaction.
He quickly and without waste of movement jolted his slug gun off his shoulder and into a firing position, immediately slamming a clip of large slug-gun ammo into the gun. He pointed it up at the giant Lizards' face.
Not knowing if it would understand the 'universal reptile language', Sen made a quick and quite rude comment of: "Go back to your toad-mother's rotten egg you scaleless worm!"
Then he fired at the creatures face...

Kaar landed on it's back before Siegear had fired. The creature gave a gargling hiss of surprise and was turning its head to snap at the pesky creature on its back when suddenly it heard a bang that momentarily deafened the monster. The slug impacted with the base of the monsters horn and it bellowed in agony as the bone cracked. The bullet lodged itself in the horn. A trickle of blood escaped.
With a ear shattering shriek the beast reared up tossing the insignifigant worm from his back with a muscular jerk. At the same time it swipe forward with it's sword like claws at the beast who had dared to injure it and spoke in tongues on the edge of its understanding.
(Sedaia)
Sedaia winced at the sound of the gun blast, but did not blink. She smile when she saw that the bullet had hit, and her eyes narrowed as she wondered how the would-be heroes would fare when the creature started fighting back...

Kaar~Flying from the beasts back Kaar lands inside a shadow and travels through it to slide roughly along a rooftop near the beast. Standing up he gets ready for another go at the beast.

|Dark-Eyes|
Seeing that the lizard-man was having some trouble dealing with the massive reptilian-bat-demon, and quickly noting that the sword slashes did little more then scratch the scales, Dark-Eyes whistled loudly at the creature. Grinning he whipped out his legendary revolvers and immediately opened fire on the creature's head, particularly its eyes and near its mouth. 'You can't be armored everywhere now can you?'[/b] he thought to himself, still grinning and having loosed six bullets between the two guns into the giant reptile's face already. [/color]

{Clathanis}
Hearing the sound of fighting, Clathanis ran over to the window next to a woman in black. She softly smiled to herself, she knew she wouldn't be much help but she could at least try.
She left the woman in black and walked outside with a bow in hand and slowly walked out and hid behind a few crates, placing herself where she could see the creature and get a good shot but not be seen right away. Drawing an arrow back, she aimed at weaker area of the monster and fired it.

Sen fell to the ground in self defence as he tried to avoid the raking claws.
"Never good!" He mumbled to himself.
After the claws had passed overhead he took the lull to reload quickly and scramble underneath the beast.
I should be able to shoot here fine...
He hefted his slug gun again onto his shoulder as he aimed upwards and gave a rueful chuckle. He then shot.
"Eat this you demon!"

Kaar~ Creeping up on his haunches to the edge of the roof Kaar notices all the bullets flying into the beast doing more than his attack did. Waiting til the beasts head was at its closest point to the roof he is on Kaar flings himself up behind its horns and holds on to the beast and his sword for dear life.

The monster roared seeming game for the fight... then it learned what bullets tasted like.
First a bullet from Dark-Eye's gun flew in and blinded forever its right eye. The manner in which the monster winced caused the next two bullets to miss full impact and leave deep gash in its thin facial scales. Blood flew.
As this was occurring Sen had swiftly dropped beneath the monster's attack. The monster looked downwards as Sen escaped between his fore claws... and then Kaar landed on his head. Its skull sunk towards the ground. This caused the forth shot in Dark-Eye's continued volley of bullets to miss before his readjusted his aim to account for the unexpected. The next shot from Dark-Eyes demolished the end of the monster's snout. It was screeching in pain as there came another god’s awful bang from beneath it...
It was confused that where there was once bloodshed and enjoyment there was pain. The final shot from Dark-Eyes ripped through its sorry excuse for lips and shattered one of its deadly teeth as it rose "up on its toes". A deep wound in it's underbelly causes thick, oily blood to spurt down from the wound. This blood was mildly acidic.
Meanwhile, Clathanis' arrow zipped in from nowhere (or so it seemed to the monster) and sliced into the thin scales where it's chin met it's neck. Furthermore, its head was being bull-ridden. Though it was thus wounded (the wound on its underbelly being the deepest and most damaging), the thing still stood!
It seemed vastly annoyed by the man on its head, and terrified of the painful creature below it. These things considered, and leapt forward. It left Sen behind and charged at the nearest building. Its head was low. It was trying to crush Kaar between the building and its head. It rammed the stone wall full force...
Meanwhile, feet pounded toward the area as a group of Faethaven's guards were rushing to the scene.
(Sedaia)
Amused temporarily, but bored of the window, Sedaia crept from the Bloody Rose smirking. What display! What action! Sedaia's mind was looking for ways in which she could use this to her advantage. Perhaps she could call in a favor with the news office and try to incite some ill-feelings for the guard. They weren't doing their jobs, surely, considering how easily this... thing, infiltrated the defense perimeter. Hiding slightly behind a crate that jutted out of the Bloody Rose's alleyway, Sedaia continued to do what she did best: skulk in the shadows, watch, and learn.
