((Fast moving.))
::Kane::
Kane was about to ask for meat when the wolf like boy got his raw steak. Kane stared for a bit, then asked one of the bar maids to get him the same, but cooked. She giggled and went into the back, returning in a few moments with his food. Kane dug into it with glee, but kept his eyes moving at the day’s crowd as he did so.
He didn't know any of these people, and he wondered how many of them were regulars here. His eyes swept across the half-wolf and lingered upon the human woman conversing with the lizard. He especially eyed a strange lady in the corner who stared fixedly at the table in front of her. He thought she might be an elf. He had not seen many of the fair folk in his travels. He tried not to stare at her in a rude manner but he was curious and glanced upward at her periodically as he ate.

Taking another small sip of wine, Clathanis continued to stare at the table. She listened to the people talking around her but most of the conversations were slured.
Placing the glass down, she felt like someone was watching her. Looking up, she quickly scanned the room and noticed a woman dressed in black talking to a blue-scaled lizard man, a boy eating raw meat and then she saw a man sitting down at a table eating and glancing up once everywhile to look at ...her? He was a winged one. She only looked at him for a few seconds before turning her eyes back to the table.

He smiled slightly. "Well, I'm a unique one, in that respect... The only blue-scaled Lizard-man that I know of... and I've seen quite a few." He sighed, getting a drink from the bartender. He sipped it down, quietly, and let his tongue flick out to and lazily taste the air. Puh. He looked over at the woman. "Well... I really don't come into the city often... Just to get basic needs... of course, then again, I've needed to come in more regularly to make money, like I was here." He grumbled. Never, ever enough money..." He sighed shaking his head. "Might I ask why you're here, of all the taverns in the city?"

Listening with much enthusiasm, Dark-Eyes drank in every word coming from the nearby woman and half-breed, though pretending to look out into the crowd. He wondered who here was supposed to meet the man that he had killed earlier, he had hoped to catch both of the parties involved. Still not wanting to jump into any conversations or anything, Dark-Eyes simply listened and waited, hoping to hear something he could use. Today, it seemed, he was bored, and he wanted something to do. Picking a fight seemed like a good way to pass the time, especially if the person he fought deserved it.

Sedaia smiled. "Ah. Well I'm here to meet my... Older brother you see. He was supposed to bring me some money for our parents," Sedaia was well used to fabrications, "This bar of all the others, simply for the fact that his work is in the area, and is not out of his way." Sedaia knew the piano man was listening, and thought he was just an innocent eavesdropper. "This tavern is not so bad though. The music is usually rather nice." She looked over at the listener abruptly, and gave her sweetest, most innocent smile. "You are very talented, sir." She waxed, wanting to include him in the conversation too.

Having been found out somehow, Dark-Eyes nearly spat out his drink, but managed to gulp down a rather large mouthful and let out a classic sigh, keeping total composure. "Hmm? Why thank you young lady." he said quite calmly, acting as though he hadn't been caught listening at all. Turning to face the woman, he smiled back at her. "What may I ask is your name?" he said pretending he hadn't heard her give the fake name the first time. I seemed that this woman might actually be the person he was looking for. She was lying, he knew that right away, but could she really had caused the other man THAT much fright? The man seemed scared out of his mind about his meeting with this other person. Cursing not having picked up his belongings, Dark-Eyes kept a conscious effort to not stray far from them or lose track of where they were if they moved. He did have his knife on him but he didn't like using it except in emergencies.

Sen gave a nod, and motioned that he would sit this conversation out. "Nice chatting... to you... both..." He lamely added, twisting his head to note the piano player had joined in on the conversation. "I have other... business to attend to." Although he liked to talk, he didn't like the vibes he was getting from either of the two, although he was less wary of the woman than the man. He stood, taking his mug of beer and decided to try and find someplace else to sit, walking away stiffly, his tail showing a slight erratic twitching as he left. After walking near the middle of the bar, he relaxed. He almost felt as if those two had wanted to put daggers into him, although he shrugged it off. Seeing that more people had trickled into the bar he decided to see where there were less numerous amounts of them. He wanted to be relatively left alone.
There was a table with one Winged, but he decided to stay away from the man. He didn't want a repeat of the incident that happened nearly five minutes ago... After all, this one, too, carried his weapons to inspire awe. And awe was usually half the battle.
There was also a table in the corner with a woman sitting at it. He decided this was the lesser of two evils and headed over. Don't do anything ssstupid.. he thought to himself.
He walked up to the lone... Elf, he saw now... and decided to speak. She seemed approachable enough anyways. He started with a lame cough, followed by a slight bow, as his egg-mother had taught him to show great respect. "Greetings, friend Elf. I was wondering if i may join your company at this table?" He decided against raising his muzzle toward her, although his tail flicked out from under his cloak from time to time...

"Leanne." Sedaia repeated, remembering her assumed name. "And you have a famliliar face sir, yet I do not believe I have met you." Sedaia gave a nod to Sen as he left, and would have said goodbye but he left her too quickly. She turned more fully to face the piano player. She was happy that she could now see him fully. His name still eluded her. She had finished her drink and put her glass down, but did not signal for another. She offered her companion a smile. "And might I have your name talented sir?" She asked, and then added softly, as though to herself; "I wonder where he is..." She looked mournfully at the door.

Still playing along with the girl's game he decided to simply answer truthfully. "My name is Jason Black, the regular pianist at this bar" he said quite matter-o-factly. "Who is it that you are waiting for?" he asked, hoping that her answer would clear things up about this man he had taken care of. Once again he took a sip of his drink, which was just about gone now. Weary of every move that the black clad woman made, he made sure that he would be ready for anything.

Slowly looking up to see who came over to talk with her, Clathanis noticed that it was the creature that was talking to the lady in black, "um...hi..." She said in a very quiet voice, "Er, I, um...uh" she stuttered before whispering "guess you can join me-" she pointed to the seat across from her, "Um...please, uh, take a seat..."

Sen nodded, seeing her discomfort. he wondered if he was the one causing it. He sat down across from her and set his mug down slightly harder than he wanted to. He looked up sheepishly - if a lizard-man can truly look sheepish - and lowered his head to drink.
Damn it, Sen... think of something to say. Your the one that came over after all, and it's rude not to say something.
"Eer... sorry for my abrupt... appearance... it's just that conversation over there... was taking a turn away from my liking." He gave a small smile, bowing his head. He just couldn't say anything smart or interesting could he? "Err...I'm sorry for my lack of... interesting topics o discussion..." He sighed shaking his muzzle. "Smooth Sen...sssmooth.." He muttered.

"Oh," Sedaia said, wishing that perhaps she could have made him slip so easily, "Only my brother. He's bringing me some funds, you see." Sedaia was in a mild state of shock that never reached her face. She knew the name Jason Black quite well. He had been a very pesky guardsman in his day, back during her guild master’s reign. He had been assumed dead, but Sedaia's informants had always given implications otherwise. She had heard rumors that he lived on the edges of society, and went by another name.
"Perhaps you have met him or seen him about?" She asked him, now expecting the worst, "He has brown hair, and eyes the same, and like me he is small..." Sedaia described her contact to a key, purposely to try and judge this eavesdropper's reaction. Perhaps she was wrong, perhaps she was right, maybe his expression would let her know.
She offered Jason a goading smile as she finished describing the man; it was a smile that would draw out some reaction, no matter what it might be. "Does it sound, Master Black, like anyone you would know?"

Dark-Eyes simply shook his head at the description of Leanne's so called brother. He was going to simply go along with the little game, each lying and trying to figure out the other's secret. But then she refered to him as "Master Black" and began toying with him, that pushed it past games in Black's mind. She hit a raw nerve, she also knew who he was. This woman was the person he seeked. All kindness drained from his eyes, but his facial features remained steady. "Can't say I have, sorry miss" he responded, though his voice now seemed much less kind then before. He knew now that he must deal with her as he had dealt with the other man.

Hearing the mug slam down, Clathanis jumped alittle and winced. She saw his 'sheepish' look and relaxed a bit when she realized that he meant her no harm.
She took a sip of her drink and looked at him as he took a drink. She half-smiled at his comment, "N-No need to um, be sorry..." she whispered, "N-Not all, um, people play games fairly..."
She watched as he bowed his head to apoligize. Were there still men out there who knew how to be polite? He seemed to be. She took a small sip of her drink and decided to try to be brave, "So what um, brings you here to the Bloody Rose?" she asked in a quiet voice.

He lifted his head, his golden eyes looking at her, warily. He was still on guard. "I was here to make some extra money before I headed back outside of the city... I live mainly in the Outskirts. The city almost has too many people in it..." He sighed as he took another swig or ale. "It's not that I hate other beings, but I've been an outcast for all my life... I guess I wonder if there's any reason to change that..." He gently pawed the three healed scars on his face, feeling the groves that were cut into him by another's claw. This was something he did when he was thinking, or slightly aggravated. He was thinking this time around.
He snapped out of it quickly, though, and looked at the woman in front of him. A small grunt escaped his lips. "And might I ask what you, yourself are doing here?" He raised an eyebrow, curious.
