She could tell that he was still on guard, which made her nervous. She looked down and felt bad for asking him why he was here but she felt like she needed to start a conversation and that's all she could think of.
She listened to him, her head still down. She looked up at his question and she got really nervous, "I'm...I'm on a quest...to um, find my older brother-" she sighed and looked down "He-He left when I was, um younger and um, said he would return."
She Thought back to the day he left and she looked up at the lizard man in front of her, her eyes hard with emotion and with a bold voice said, "And when I see him again I'm going to kick his ass back home again-" her eyes widened and she whispered, "I-I'm sorry! That was w-wrong of, um, me to say...Forgive me!"

~Kaar~ Sitting at his table feathered hat atop his head Kaar scratches his furry chin as he surveys the crowd over his mug of ale. Seeing a few slightly familiar faces he stays seated but keeps his hand near his sword and stays ready to leap at a moment. "This might get bad." He mutters to himself while drinking.

((Sorry!! I had a HUGE project due last week and my parents only let me work on it and go to my clubs, no video games or anything! It sucked, but I'm back now, don't be angry at me! )) Jack
Jack tore through the steak like it was nothing, but a snack to him. He finished in a matter of seconds and then spun in his seat again, this time as the seat turned so he faced the crowd he looked out at the faces for the first time. "Weirdies" he said, just loud enough that some of the surrounding people gave him a few dirty looks. His eyes wandered around the room and looked at the faces as a child would look at the many toys on the shelf of its favorite store. Finally, they rested on a man who was also eating the wondrous meat. He had big feathery wings like some of Jack's avian friends in the wilds. Curiosity taking over, he leapt off the stool like a cat and scampered across the room to the winged man. Gazing up at the man (Kane), or rather his wings, Jack still didn't seem to care about all the people like he usually would. Today he was more bold then he had been in a long time, his fear of people would have to get past his stomach and his raw excitement.

His eye narrowed at her story... She had said 'Um...' too many times for his liking. Then he saw her eyes and saw that there was no way that she could be lying to him about it. Then he heard her continue. He laughed, shaking his head and taking a quick sip of his drink. "No, don't worry about your choice of words. I know that there are far harsher words that could be used."
His eyes danced with mirth, the golden orbs studying her. She seemed nice enough, and he knew she wasn't lying, so he let down his guard and settled back, giving her a rare smile, and flick of his tongue. Then it turned to a saddened look.
"Be happy that you have a brother to try and find... My family abandoned me. I have... unique talents that the elders of my tribe have never seen in my kind before..." Ah, yess... your sob story comes out... "Perhaps I am the next evolution of my egg-brothers." He mused aloud.

Kane turned his head to coolly stare back at the rowdy lad who had walked up to gawk at him. He caught the younger fellow’s eye and raised a single eyebrow at him. "Was there something you needed?" He asked gently, sensing that the boy could be easily startled and not wanting to cause any more of a ruckus. "You may sit at the table with me, if you like." Kane was hesitant and unsure. Perhaps this boy was mentally unstable? Perhaps the magic had warped him into something more animal than man?
Kane examined him closely, taking in the entirety of his appearance. His scrutiny was as obvious as the boy’s. Kane shifted his wings uncomfortably when he realized that they were the object of the lad's scrutiny.

"N-No sir-" she was surprised that he didn't hut her or something, "It-It is not right for a l-lady to speak her mind like that..."
She gave a half smile back to him and relaxed a bit when she noticed that he was relaxed. But her half smile faded when she saw his saddened look, "I'm sorry" she said after hearing about his parents abandoning. Her parents never left her...no it was the other way around, she left her parents and for what? Nothing.
"What unique talents do you have s-sir?" she asked, "I-If you d-don't mind me...asking..."

Sedaia continued her sweet, kind facade. She enjoyed goading him, and knew that he couldn't act upon his anger here. It was certain that he did indeed know her associate. Sedaia assumed that her associate now lay dead. This was troublesome, as her money would be harder to extricate from his living relatives. Furthermore, the loss of one of her men... stung Sedaia, in a very unexplainable way. She showed nothing of this wound on the surface.
"Ah, well sir that is too bad." Her smile was bland, and her tone faintly acidic. "This conversation, I find is turning sour, wouldn't you agree? Perhaps we should deign to be... more open, with each other." Sedaia had stopped herself from saying honest, because she really had no intention of being honest with Mr. Black. She leaning in toward him very slightly and looked at through mocking eyes.

|Dark-Eyes|
Dark-Eyes quickly regained control over his outward appearance, though inwardly he was no different then a moment ago. He smiled back at the girl and simply said, "Alright." "If we are going to be more open then why not tell me your real name?" he said, laying on a false tone of kindness. 'This woman obviously thinks that I would not dare harm her in this place'[/b], he thought to himself. 'She is only partly right...'[/b] he thought rather darkly. He did not wish to cause trouble for the barkeep, but over half the men in the room were wanted for something. He would have no qualms with starting something simply to catch this one girl should she prove it to be worthy of his time and effort. Even with these thoughts running through his mind he held onto his false smile and kind disposition, she would not get to him that easily.

He gave a smirk, his tail fllicking from side to side as he leaned in to look directly at the elf infront of him. ""Now, now... Don't be hasty... We havn't introduced ourselves." He gave a low chuckle as he leaned back again, and set a foot up on the table. He felt relaxed enough. "Well to start off with, my name is Sen. Short for Ssenth Desco. What name do you cal yourself by?" He smiled again and put up his other clawed foot. They were large, and looked to be wrapped in bandages.

"I-I'm sorry" she said, "I should've thought about t-that." There was a slight blush on her cheeks. Her curiosity for magic and uniqueness always seemed cause her to no think things through...her mother always told her to be polite and get to know the person before asking personal question...like the one she asked...
"I-I'm Clathanis-" she said with a small half smile, "Clathanis Rudeth..."

"Well, Clathanis Rudeth..." he smirked, "My unique talent has to do with what the waste doesn't have." He had formed this to be as cryptic as possible. It was a great pride that he had for his ability, and it had taken him a couple of months to come up with that one line. He finally got to use it too. He gave a large, tooth-filled grin and leaned back in his chair, gaging her reaction to what he had said, wondering if she would push the topic. If she did, he'd tell her. If she didn't... well, it would remain a silent division. he figured she would ask. She seemed the sort to him.

Jack
"Birdy..." Jack said in a distracted voice, gazing at the wings while in his own world. Shaking his head, Jack came back to reality, it had been awhile since he had gotten back to the wilds. The guards, it seemed, didn't like him very much. They called him names and chased him away, espically when he ate something that was left out in the open. Having not registered what Kane had said the first time, Jack suddenly realized what was said and took a seat. For the first time it seemed that Jack had lost his boldness and found himself at a loss for words. "Uh... I's Jack!" he practically burst out, as though he was attempting to do something very difficult.

"Ah my dear Master Black, though I lie about many things in this world, I have already told you my real name. Leanne. Leanne Conal." Sedaia raised both eyebrows ammusedly, still smiling serenely at her new adversary. "I am a plain girl and a simple... worker of the city. You however are a person with a highly wanted personality. In fact I do believe one might call you sought-after. Why in the world would a man with your reputation be intested in 'my brother' or I?"

~Kaar~ Listening intently to all the conversations going on around him Kaar decides it has been long enough and that the gaurds would most likely have left by now. Getting up from his table he licks his lips and begins walking for the door, his ears however are strained to hear any armoured footfalls, just in case.

"I'd tip my hat to you young lady for that fine description of my personal life, but I seem to have left it by the piano" he said with a sly grin, "'Course, then again anyone who knows that much about my past like that, doesn't really follow a very clean lifestyle." Dark-Eyes lifted his drink to his lips once again and finished it off and then scanned the crowd somewhat slowly before returning to the black clad woman. "Well a man of my reputation would only be interested in only a few special people now would he?" he started, "Why don't you tell me why I might be interested in you or your... brother since you know me so well?"
