Sedaia ended up taking a trip down the side of the cliff and descended into Faethaven's main Market Place like a shadow.
One of Sedaia's favorite tricks was being unique, intimidating, unforgettable and completely unnoticeable all at the same time. Those that she wanted to see would see her. They would remember her as heavily cloaked, mysterious, and fascinating. If the person angered her, she might be remembered as terrifying, influential, fascinating... but the majority of people would see her in the street, and never recall a description. She rarely gave her real name to any person who was not a member of the thief’s guild. Many people knew her name- guards, politicians, reporters... but they never could attach her face to the name Sedaia, not even if she had shaken their hands.
The marketplace was a rambling district, and one that Sedaia always enjoyed visiting. She picked a few pockets as she walked, and saw many young people doing the same. A lot of them worked for her. She couldn't help but smile faintly at the fact. She headed towards the section of town that had some well-established shops.
Upon reaching the area, she looked around. Most of these were places of craftsmen. There was a jeweler and a watchmaker, a hatter, a tailor and a cobbler... everything a good town needed.
Sedaia lingered outside these buildings as other people in the street walked about, buying, and buying, and buying. Things were clearing out in this area as the day drew on and consumers went home for supper. Sedaia was especially interested in one of the Jeweler's shops, which was across the street from a seamstress' store called Toppity Tailors. She hoped that she might make a few expensive ‘purchases’ there before the evening was out.

Sen had gotten some sleep, as had Lita. Sen was less than thrilled to find her on top of his chest, hugging to him like a large teddy bear when he woke, but he dealt with it. After all, the small girl was just too cute to stay mad at for long.
Sen was ready to go and collect information on what the Guard was up to in the town. He had just walked out of Toppity Tailors, and was now standing with his hood and mask off, his icy scales reflecting the growing moonlight. He smirked. He would get to the bottom of the problem with the guards. Although...
He had one small problem though.
It happened to be latched onto the back of his cloak.
It was Lita.
The small girl had insisted to come with him wherever he went. He sighed. She was clingy, but he could understand. Abandonment did that to one.
He had gotten over that phase fast, seeing as he had to fight to survive in his clan. It had hardened him. He wanted to help the small elf girl, but didn't truly know how.
He would let her continue following him around. Perhaps she might slowly be weaned off always being around him.
Feeling a strong tug on his cape, Sen turned and decided that it would be easier to travel with her on him. He did just that.
Picking up Lita, Sen settled her small form down onto his shoulder.
"Now, don't move too awful much and you won't fall off." He had wrapped an arm around her legs just in case he was jostled.
He gave a grunt. "I'd also tell you to be quiet.. but I don't need to. Lita, it's slightly creepy to have a girl your age as silent as you are."
Lita looked down, saddened and on the verge of crying.
"N...not that that's bad!" Sen tried with a lame recovery.
As he stared to walk he slammed straight into a black cloaked figure. It seemed that they were about to go to the jewelers across the street from Toppity Tailors.
"My apologies... err.. I didn't mean to bump into you. Hopefully you won't hold it against me."
His tail gave a light lash and Lita leaned over to look down off of Sen's shoulder, curious as to who Sen was apologizing to.

Sedaia was... surprised to say the least. Her back had been turned, and she'd heard the talking and the footsteps. She'd assumed that if she kept her head down and her attention focused she'd be okay... the truth was unfortunate.
"Aha-" She grunted, bowing her head and pulling her hood low around her face. What were the chances of meeting the blue lizard a second time, in a city as large as this one? "No trouble..." She mumbled slightly, and hoped that he hadn't recognized her face in the brief moment she had glanced up to see the little girl child on his shoulders...
She shuffled away from him uncomfortably, and moved as though to walk away in the opposite direction.

Sen nodded to the person he had bumed into.
Strange. They wore a claok as if they didn't want to be seen. Sen knew the feeling, although there was something different in the way they stood. As if they really, really, didn't want to be seen.
He paid it no heed. "Again sorry."
With that, Sen turned away and started to head towards Sanctuary to go and call in a few friends. They'd help him uncover what had happened earler in the day. Perhaps he could also find something out about Lita - the girl who was now hugging his neck as she was lightly being bounced from his heavy walking.
He paid little heed to those around him, not that he needed to.
Most got out of his way when they saw the large sword and gun combination strapped to his back.

Sedaia breathed a silent sigh of relief as Sen moved away from her. He hadn't seen a thing. Good. Sedaia watched him walk off down the street for a few moments, then glanced to the jewelry store. She measured something carefully in her head- what was worth more to her right now: information on a random blue lizard man, or gemstones? Information... rubies. Information... sapphires. Information... emeralds...
Smirking to herself, Sedaia made haste to follow the lizard man down the streets of the market place. She maneuvered between groups of people, walked near the edges of the road and appeared to browse wares, keeping her eyes peeled, and following in the lizard man's wake. He really did leave a wake- people parted around him like leaves to the wind. He was easy to follow for a person of her skills. Sedaia had tracked stealthier foes... and the little girl, who bobbed above the crowd upon the lizard's shoulders, did not help his conspicuous situation.
Sedaia wondered why he had a little girl with him anyway. He didn't seem particularly carnivorous, and the guards would certainly have apprehended a man-eater of that size. The girl had a particularly urchin-ish look to her. Sedaia had known abandoned children to be picked up off the street and sold on the black market... she'd bought a few herself. But the short interaction she'd had with the blue lizard had not given her any indication that he might be a shady character. That only left that he was either taking the child to its home, or to an orphanage; or the girl belonged in his care, for whatever reason.
Sedaia couldn't wait to find out more. Information had so many more applications than gemstones.

Sen was starting to make his way to the home of the guards - Sanctuary. He smiled to himself slightly. He hadn't seen any of his first true 'friends' in the city for some time... Unfortunately the circumstances weren't under the most favorable.
He would be asking questions and sniffing around. He never liked that.
'The one who searches near a blade gets his tail cut off.' -as the old Lizard man saying went.
Lita was lightly tugging on his cloak again.
He looked at her and smiled.
"Yes, little one? What is it?"
Lita pointed toward a small stall about to pack up. They were selling necklaces. Her eyes spoke of tears if she didn't get one... bought by him.
Sen sighed. Being a Caretaker was totally new to him - especially for a seemingly mute, small, elven girl. He trundled up to the stall quickly.
"Excuse me, sir. I wish to inquire as to how much.... that pendant is."
the pendant was on the small side and was a square tab of metal on a chain. He smiled, showing slightly more and sharper teeth than humanly possible.
The vendor looked at him, somewhat scared. Here was a large, blue lizard who was asking about buying a pendant... It was strange and slightly unnerving.
"T-that'll... be... ten gold for ye sir. " came the slightly gruff voice of the merchant.
"If I wish it engraved?"
The merchant looked up. "For ye, sir. It'll just be ten gold."
Sen gave another smile. "Thank you kind sir. I'll tell you what I want on it."
He set Lita down on the ground as he hunched over, sitting down on his heels. They would be there for a good hour, waiting for the engraving. It would be worth it though. He wouldn't lose Lita... given she wasn't taken by truly shady characters... much like the black cloaked one that he had bumped into, now that he thought it....
He sighed and picked up Lita, setting her on his knee as he affectionately rubbed her head, messing up her white-blond hair. She shot him a look with her emerald eyes that said 'Stop that! I just combed that!' He smirked down at the girl as he straightened it out with a light claw rake through the hair.
She was taking the change well. She was strong in spirit. She was down, not beaten... and now he had picked her up. His smile grew. He liked the small, although was hesitant to admit it to himself... more so to others... besides Matron that is.
He sighed as he though of what he had engraved on the tag.
On the front:
Lita Desco
On the Back:
Take to Toppity Tailors if found

Sedaia crept close to the stall and listened in as best she could. What she saw and heard confirmed that the lizard was the little girl's caretaker. She stood casually in the shadow of a crate, invisible to the eye that was not searching her out. The dusk was her ally in this situation.
The lizard man was powerful. Sedaia had seen as much watching the fight with the moster today- yet he seemed to be going about everyday, peasantish business. He was no mercenary, like Sedaia had initially suspected. Yet he wasn't normal either. Sedaia couldn't help but wonder if he could eventually be useful. One never knew when one would need an intimidating companian. But she pushed that thought to the back of her mind. She had, after all, only just begun learning about the blue beast. There was time to consider her information in depth later.

Sen waited with Lita for the man to finish with the pendant.
Lita was having fun watching the process of engraving, seeing the man work with a small chisel.
Every once and a while the small elven girl would hop off his shoulder to move around, but soon came to rest on his shoulder again. She was lifted to get there.
Sen was waiting, slightly annoyed by the time it was taking, but knowing that if she WAS found after this, she had a greater chance of getting back to the shop.
Sen swiveled his head, looking for any suspicious people. You just never knew if they were around.
There was one, but they were cloaked in black and he couldn't see their face. They also seemed to be window shopping, so Sen shoved it into the back of his mind as he waited....

Sedaia worried that she may have been seen and quickly dodged behind a stall as Sen looked away from her. She was enjoying tailing so formidable a creature, but she reminded herself that she probably had better things to be doing. This was not an immediately profitable pursuit, and she needed to get to the newspaper office and discuss a few things with her contacts before tommorrow's print was released. She wanted to be absolutely certain that her face was no where to be found.
Sedaia slipped away from the little jewelry store, the great Blue Lizardman and his charge. On the way, she emptied a few pockets, made plain a few bejeweled wrists, and obtained supper. She ate as she stalked the streets, and no one noted her passing. By the time her victems realized they had been roobed, she was streets away, robbing someone else. Sedaia smirked, and revelled in her rulership of the streets. Everything that she could see, she could own. She smiled, for in her heart she knew she was Queen.

Sen sighed as he picked up the newly finished chain.
He smiled at it, liking the chain.
Lita was ecstatic. She looked as though she were about to cry out in joy....but kept her mute nature..
Sen smiled as he picker her back up and started off toward the Keep...and hopefully answers...

|Dark-Eyes|
On the way to his friend's place of business, Dark-Eyes had to go through the streets of the Market Place. He normally would attempt to keep away large groups of people, but this was the only route to Guy's and what better way to hide then in plain sight. He blended into the masses as best he could, but did not linger in any one place for any ammount of time as to keep himself from being spotted as easily. However, even with this being done, he was no master at hiding from view, usually killing most who saw him to keep them quiet and this was no place to open fire if he wanted to escape alive. He had scruffed up his hair and changed into a pair of plain pants, white cotton shirt, and a black vest, but to a keen eye he had not done much to hide his identity.

Dark-Eyes weaved his way through the crowds with little to no resistance. Nobody cared about a scruffy man in a place where hundreds of them congregated on a regular basis to sell and buy goods. He managed to get to his friends shop with little difficulty. The shop was one of the few in the marketplace that actually had a permanent place of shop with a building to go with it.
Dark-Eyes pushed the door open and walked inside. His gnomish friend was busy with a customer at the moment so Dark-Eyes decided to wait before approaching his friend. He browsed the store, looking at all the guns and ammunition. It still amazed him that his friend had managed to accumulate this large collection of firearms. It amazed him even more that his friend could replicate most of them where most people relied on what firearms they could find and fix. Guy Gunfingers was an expert among masters with firearms, though not necessarily firing them. All of the guns out on display were rather common and weaker ones for the most part, the more powerful and deadly ones locked and sealed within a case at Guy's desk. Dark-Eyes didn't know much about magic, but he knew from what Guy had told him that the shop was heavily magically defended.
The customer seemed to be being rather difficult, a young noble with money to waste. So Dark-Eyes picked out his bullets and left some money for them on the counter, nodding to his friend as he turned to walk out. Once he walked out of the shop he noticed something. The woman who had seemed so out of place and had lied to him in the Bloody Rose was weaving through the crowds expertly. He noted that she had lifted a few pockets, but he noted that she was very skilled and he probably just gotten luck from his higher stand point at spotting her. He decided that he would follow the girl and find out more about her. She didn't seem like the kind of criminal he hunted, but something about her nagged at him. So he followed her, almost losing her at points even though she wasn't trying to lose him.
((I hate to double post, but I suppose it can't be avoided right now...))
