|Dark-Eyes|
Dark-Eyes walked up the street and approached the Rusty Rapier. The most popular tavern in all of Faethaven, was not Dark-Eyes' favorite place. The problem was that it was too popular. Too many people frequented the place and this made it harder for someone notorious and with little political power, such as Dark-Eyes, to keep a low profile.
Now he walked through the doors of the fine establishment willingly, hoping to find someone and that someone talk. Dark-Eyes quickly went about scanning the tavern for his prey hoping the man wouldn't be too hard to find using Jure's description. Still in his common clothing, Dark-Eyes hoped that he would not draw too many eyes to himself if his identity become revealed.

((OOC: *yawns and fall out of bed* Don't kill me for not posting...I have good reasons...really...I do... >>; yeah)
After a small meal at her fairy friends house, Clathanis snuck out of the house and headed towards the most popular tavern. If it was as popular as people say then maybe her brother was there or maybe there was someone there who has seen him and could tell her where to find him. But if she found him what would happen after that, she didn't know how to get back to her homeland and she doubted that her brother knew as well.
She slowly walked in with her head slightly down to avoid eye contact with the men that were in here. She lightly bumped against a man in common clothing who was standing near the entrance and appeared to be scanning the area. She bluched a bit and looked down at her feet, "I'm s-sorry sir," She said with a whisper, "I-I didn't see you there..."

((Posting as the NPC, "Boast" lol))
Sitting at a popular table was Boast, surrounded by friends and allies. Boast was load, and his name was bandied about in a drunken hollar, and none could miss his presance. Boast was abnormally tall; it wasobvious that something of him was not entirely human. Indeed he made eight feet, and had a grand bulk to match. His muscles bulged through purposefully too-small clothing, and his small, bleary eyes spoke of much post-dinner drinking. Boast was unaware of anything that happened beyond his table.
((In other words, you guys do stuff and ignore him long as you please. He's just sort of there, lol))

Dark-Eyes looked down at the young elf that had bumped into him. He had spotted Boast, but that the young lady had bumped into him she seemed to be overly apologetic. 'Well she's either a pickpocket or she not a regular' he thought to himself, looking her over quickly. "Don't think too much of it, in a crowded place like this it happens quite frequently" he said calmly, patting his pockets to make sure his recently bought ammunition and the small amount of coin his had on him was still where it was supposed to be.
Upon finding them to be safe he relaxed a little bit. "What are you doing here?" he asked the elf a little confused by her being here, "Are you here with someone. You don't seem to be a regular of this place if you're that timid." Dark-Eyes made sure to keep an eye on Boast, not wanting to lose his quarry, but he wasn't in any hurry to begin a battle he was sure to ensue his conversation with the man and made small talk with the girl.

When he looked down at her she got really nervous, scared that he was going to hit her or something for bumping into him but his reply surprised her, "O-Of course s-sir," she said, "How foolish of me."
As she talking to this man she noticed that he was checking his pockets, 'He must think I'm a pickpocket, that's understandable but I hardly look one...then again I've never seen one before...so how do if I look like one or not.'
She was again surprised that this man was relaxing a bit while around her but she refused to relax around any man, so she remained a bit tense and kept her eye on him, men couldn't be trusted.
"I-I'm not here with anyone," she replied quietly, "I-I am l-looking for someone and I f-figured that he might be here...after a-all this is a v-very popular place...right?"

"Yes it is a very popular place of business" he said noting her strange timidness. "Well, is he here?" he asked, giving a casual look around the room once again, mainly to reassure himself of Boast's position, but also to half-heartedly look for the person she was looking for. Dark-Eyes wore his pistols underneath his pant leg strapped on his ankles, but he knew that drawing from such a place would be obvious and slow should he need to use them.

((hrm, need to make something happen ne? Let me see what I can make Boast the Basta... er... mean guy... do...))
Boast staggered up from his chair, laughing and slapping some of his frinds on the back. He staggered drunkenly towards the door, coming extremely close to Clathanis and Dark-Eyes as he trod this path. Bleary eyed and swaying, nine feet tall with a girth to match a heavy beer-belly to top it off, he paused as his eyes espied Clathanis, timidly conversing with the stranger she'd run into. He let out a loud, sluggish laugh. "Pretty lil lassy-gal..." He thrummed, reaching out to touch her on the shoulder (or perhaps the head, considering their comparitive heights). He leered at her, sidling closer.

"Oh g-good," She replied, "I-I've never really been a-around this part s-so I wasn't to sure what was p-popular or not."
She gave a small smile as she watched him look around the room as if trying to find her brother but she knew it was half-hearted after all he didn't even know what he was looking for, "I'm n-not sure," she replied quietly as she looked around the room as well, "It's b-been a long t-time since I've last seen him s-so he might look different."
As she was looking around she noticed a tall man walking towards them and she felt his eyes fall on her, she tensed up and prayed that he would pass by her but she wasn't so lucky. She let out a small "epp" when he tried to touch her and she quickly moved behind Dark-Eyes, silently praying that he would help her or at least give her a chance to run out of the door or something...

Dark-Eyes was slightly taken aback by the sudden dodge behind him by the girl who's name he didn't even know. However, luck was on his side as now Boast had come to him and had given him a perfect excuse to start a fight if it was needed. "Here now, leave this little one alone." Dark-Eyes said to the rather intoxicated Boast. "You're Boast right?" he then started, this time lowering his voice a little as to keep as few people from hearing his next few chosen words. "I need to talk to you about a young Ms. Dai" he said wearing a bold smirk in hopes of rubbing Boast the wrong way. After making his statement he lifted an arm as though to make himself a barrier to the little elf behind him. He did intend to protect her should she need it, but mainly his action was a ruse to fool the idiots who might jump into any ensuing fight hoping to be heroes.

Boast:
Unfortunately, Boast was outright ignoring Dark-Eyes' word, closing his ears against any 'nonsense'. "'ear now girrrly." he rumbled. He reached out, trying to get past Dark-Eye's without moving his feet. He shoved the hand that wasn't reaching out in Dark-Eyes' face, not striking or anything of the sort, but trying to make Dark-Eyes move out of the way so he could stumble past toward Clathanis. "'m not gunna hurt you." He slurred with a foolish grin plastered on his face.

She wanted to breath a sigh of relief when the man infront of her stayed and put his arm to protect her, I will have to thank him later she thought I wonder who Ms. Dia is though, is she a friend of this- her thoughts were cut off when she noticed Boast was not listening to Dark-Eyes and was trying to reach out to her again,"I-I-I don't believe you!" she half growled out as she lightly gripped onto the back of Dark-Eyes shirt, "So s-stay away from me!"

Dark-Eyes sighed at the stupidity of Boast and rolled his eyes. "It's not nice to ignore people, the young lady asked you to stop and I asked you a question." he said quite bluntly as he grabbed Boast's arm that was thrown at him twisted, and pulled. He used Boast's forward motion, weight, and sheer drunkenness to pull the man off-balance and threw him to the floor. "It'd be a good idea to back up little one" he told Clathanis, backing up a little bit himself to get out of Boast's reach.

Boast toppled roughly to the ground unable to remain upright as intoxicated as he was. He fell heavily, banging his head slightly on the floor and getting the wind knocked out of him. He lay still for a moment, heaving on the ground, hiccoughed, and then rolled over, slowly propping himself up onto his elbows.
The bang on the head seemed to have sobered him up -slightly- and he looked up blearily at Dark-Eye. "Sunuvabisch." He grumbled, "Shlut."
He began climbing to his feet, but this is not to say he had much success at getting there.
"How's 'bout I answer you, and then you leavre me 'n' the lil gal alone? ...What wuz it you wanted again?"

Dark-Eyes glared at Boast and this time spoke a little louder, but still attempted to keep anyone else from hearing that which he had to say. He this time took a more ready stance in case Boast grew more physical.
"I want Dai..." he repeated hoping that Boast was intelligent enough to understand what he was asking for. He still stood in defense of Clathanis, though mainly because he was certain that he would anger Boast and he didn't want the girl to get hurt due to his actions.

"M'Lady Dai ain't your type little boy." Boast laughed, finally gaining a sense of balance and tottering upright, "She'll chew you up'nd shpit you out like bad taste..."
Boast lurched forward and poked the air in front of Dark-Eyes with one thick finger. "An' besides... Dai's not free game. An' I work for Dai in fact, she evem trushts me. I'm in good wifth her an' that means evenchully, I'm in good with the Hands, 'n' then I've prac-ticly got it made. The Hand's c'n do anything, get anythinf, find anyone anywhere anytime an' I ain't tellin' the like o' you no shit about m'Lady Dai!"
