The Harmorells live in a huge house that looks like a victorian mansion and is in Faethaven's well-to-do district. Gistina's brother Alikie owns the house, though he isn't home very often. He worked late in the office on most days, organizing company commerce, trying to help support a one-city economy. His hard work made him very wealthy, just as their parents had been and so he employed a very large staff, who Gistina was allowed to boss around mercilessly. But she made sure things got done and stayed done, which was the important part.
The best thing to Gistina about being home was that Alerick, her bodyguard, didn't have to follow her around all the time. They were both good friends after he had been working for her for so long, but she could do without him constantly. At home, she was instead attended upon by two maids (who were supposed to protect silly things like her honor and virtue) so that she could never be alone, and thus accused of unladylike behavior.
After a good sleep, she arouse the next morning to an elaborate breakfast, served in bed. She then bathed in semi-warm water (the house didn't have any gnomeish pumps, and not even a tank on the roof), and had her maids dress her in a beautiful yellow summer dress that had far to much poof. She adorned herself with beautiful jewelry, gold set with amber stones, and exited her room.
Her brother had already left for work, and she didn't tachnically have anything to do until that evening, when her brother would be hosting a dinner party for many nobles. Many well-to-do people attended her brothers parties, and generally anyone who was well dressed enough was allowed in. It was very dangerous because it was an opporunity for assassin to slip in, and that was why Gistina had been given permission to obtain a second bodyguard, with Alericks help. She had been putting it off, but now she had to look quickly, or her brother would be angry with her.
So it was that she immediately went to her study and penned a letter for Val Mistpelt that was both an apology and an offer. She sent it with a messenger to the arena, hoping that someone there would know his whereabouts. Then, she settled into her solar to wait.
